flowers!

i am home! :D
well i woke up late though, so i missed my class.
but made it back home early. just feels good to be home! :))))

collected my jeans and pants from the tailor.
the jeans are fineeee, just nice. i was afraid it'd be too short.
but i did notice it being a little bit uneven in length... but i think that's cause i'm anal enough to notice it.
it's probably only like 2-3 mm difference... so okay i guess it's fine.
can't expect too much since it's not factory/machine made.
imagine if i had to alter my own jeans, i doubt it'd be perfectly even too, imagine folding it so carefully and sewing it so carefully... it's almost impossible.
the pants are great!
though i would have preferred the hips area to be more narrow.
but that part couldn't be altered due to the pockets.
the thighs and legs and leg opening are nicely done up!
much better compared to before.
i tried it on and tried my other pants (un-altered) and the difference is pretty big.
going to send my other pants there for alteration next time. ;)
oh man forgot to ask about the zip... shall do it when i go collect my sis's jeans.

came home and my boots are not here yet. sad.
but is okayyy will check again when i come home tomorrow night after training!
hopefully it'll arrive by friday. impatient! :X
my polo ralph lauren shirt is in singapore already though, think i'll be able to get it this week. :D
hollister shirt is gonna be delayed by a week, damn.
feel like getting another shirt from ralph lauren since the sale is still on!
but, better try the size first, see if this one fits.

sent my parents to get flowers from the wholesale garden(?) near bottle tree park.
was walking around and looking at all those flowery stuff.
never a fan of flowers, but some caught my eyes.
i think SOMETIMES flowers have the ability to make someone happy.
i mean... i was looking at a very nice small pot of flowers then i was wondering... if someone received it i think that person would be happy.
don't know why, but i guess... it's just nice. it almost seemed kind of romantic.
hmm okay not romantic, maybe cute.
okay i really don't know what i'm talking about already hahaha.
anyway we filled the boot with many many flowers (my dad wants to revamp the garden -_-)
lunched and home.

during flower-shopping i realised that i sometimes still talk or act in ways differently towards my parents.
how do i put it...
i think we children still want our parents to feel as though we are their small little cute babies.
so when we're around them, although we do act more maturely as we grow older, we still show our childish or kid-like side to them once in awhile.
like i was with my mum and she saw this pot of cock's corn (or something like that).
so she was like expressing that it's quite nice.
i just went "yarh, the flowers are so fluffy, it's nice"
okay i can't exactly explain the tone here, or maybe i'm a little bit sensitive since i'm having my period right now.
but yeah, something like that.
like i said, not a fan of flowers. so calling the flowers fluffy is hmm
maybe we just like to humour them.
for example, my mum sometimes make fruit juice with watermelon or like oranges.
and i always express how happy i am when she makes them for me.
like "yarh it's nice, not bad, quite sweet. weather very hot, will be good for health, -insert nice sounding words here-"
fact is, watermelon and oranges are 2 of the fruits in my list of "Hated Fruits".
hmmm maybe not so extreme, "Fruits that i dislike and would prefer not to buy/eat/drink"
oh well... i don't know how to break the news to her. lol
guess it's okay, it's good for health anyway. i'll still drink/eat them.

moving on.
i finally finally got down to doing my resume.
and it's so badddd, i've been at it for quite some time and it's still not finished! :(
okay, i'll try to finish my resume by tonight, and maybe start on the CV.
gosh, why must it be so troublesome.
i hope the final product would turn out good.
waiting for celine's testimonial, shall call her tomorrow morning to remind her and tell her i actually need it quite urgently.
and then need to find matthew chang tomorrow to ask if he can be my referee or even better, write a testimonial for me, since he was my IA officer.
and then e-mail loh and sundar for testimonial
and then ask dr. sow if he could be my referee too since he was kind of like my mentor during my poly IA
oh and call eden to ask about REC's environment since he's working there.
i shall just take a deep breath and be thick-skinned enough to do all these!
go go go!
