ovenhot!

i came home after training and wanted to take a nap.
so okay i blasted the fan and lay in bed.
slept for awhile, and woke up from the freaking heat!
it's like the heat from my body was trapped in the bed.
either the weather is retarded or my body was emitting heat from training earlier on.
okay maybe it's both. :/
after great attempts to sleep, i gave up.
on the aircon and bloody hell i was no longer tired.
)(@*%)@*#$)&$

today's training was not bad.
i think i haven't paced in a year. lol
okay maybe it's a reminder to myself that i should try out various seats for trainings.
good experience though... it's like recapping from past pacing experience and learning new stuff.
boat morale was not exceptionally high and crazy but it was not bad.
everybody seemed composed today and knew what to do to keep the boat moving.
i feel that the boat moves effectively faster when everybody come to an agreement on something and do it together willingly with their heart.
guess that's what we have to keep up.
sometimes it's not about how much we shout how much we verbally motivate or push each other.
sometimes even if the boat is "quiet", but if in everybody's heart they know what to do and have a common mindset, you can feel it.
feel it in each surge, feel it in each stroke, even feel it in each quiet "whisper" towards each other.
like when nobody is speaking on the boat but you feel the forceful surge forward, quietly, slowly, consistently but forceful.
the wash and flow of the water seem to speak for everyone on the boat instead.
it says words of encouragement, motivation, composure, and determination, for you to keep going because you are not alone.
it's like an unspoken togetherness.
don't know how to put it, but it's just one of the wonders of this sport.

anyway sometimes i wonder if i've been rowing for too long.
it's probably the 6th or 7th year already... i lost count.
sometimes i row till numb... like no feelings, cause to me it's just another training set, just another race set.
life goes on.
but i guess the thing that keeps me going is that i row with different people each time, different character/personality, which makes each set a different experience.
each year/cycle there are different challenges to face, different strategy, different style, different feeling.
i guess that's where all the fun is.
facing and overcoming those differences.
