organ donation.
today while travelling and waiting for my appointment and all.
i read the newpaper.
there was this article about an 11 year old girl.
she died in a car accident and her parents donated her organs to those who needed it.
cause 4 weeks before the accident she watched a tv appeal for donors.
and she told her mother.
you'd take an organ for me and Charlie (her brother) if something happened to us. so i think you should be prepared to do the same thing back.
from a very wise 11 year old!
it's true isn't it?
if we are willing or should i say, begging, to take an organ from someone else to save our lives, why shouldn't we do the same thing back when we don't need ours anymore?
besides, the people who receive our organs probably get to live or have better lives.
plus, their families would be spared the torture of watching their loved ones go.
win-win situation.
i don't remember filling up any forms, so i guess automatically my organs will be harvested when i die.
well i say, take whatever you need!
